The Brook Forest Inn is a grand and historic one-stop wedding destination facility that focuses on relieving much of the stress that can be associated with a wedding by providing just about everything needed to plan such an event. Our outdoor private gardens sit creek side and make a perfect ceremony site that can accommodate 20 to 200 people. The outdoor gardens include an upper patio and grass area for mingling, appetizers and beverages after the ceremony. Our beautifully appointed Banquet Room, with its high vaulted ceilings, floor to ceiling quartz fireplace and lodge pole appointments immediately adjoins the outdoor patio area and can accommodate the ceremony (if inclement weather) as well as the reception. For a more elegant ambiance the main dining room with its floor to ceiling cherry wood and marble fireplace may be the perfect place for your ceremony or reception. Depending upon the expected guest count you may decide that renting the entire facility is the option that best suits your needs. We also have elopement packages for those smaller, more intimate events. Whatever you may decide to do, the Brook Forest Inn is a complete special events facility. Our full-line restaurant prepares all menu requests including wedding cakes and special dietary needs; our full-service pub provides all beverage requests; our 16 guest rooms and suites accommodate up to 43 people. We are a complete wedding destination venue under one roof and just 33 miles from Denver in the majestic Rocky Mountain.
Bridal Consultant and Events Coordinator
Our on-site Bridal Consultant and Events Coordinator, Laurie Baumer is available for any event no matter the size to help create the perfect ambiance and design the most memorable day of your life. The journey begins with a guided tour of the facility to see first hand which areas best fit your needs. We will review guest counts, room needs, food and beverage requests to determine the basis upon which a fully itemized proposal and a suggested timeline of events is prepared and presented for your consideration. Once the proposal is fine tuned and accepted, a contract will be signed and a 25% deposit must be paid to secure the services of the Brook Forest Inn. Your event is added to our Calendar of Events schedule and we place all guest rooms not already reserved on hold. A payment equivalent to 50% of the contract balance must be posted at least 60 days prior to the event. A final 25% payment and any contract additions must be posted no later than 7 days prior to the event. If any of these dates fall on a weekend or holiday then payment must be posted by the previous business day. We will also send out our Brook Forest Inn Preferred Vendor Package. This will provide you with a wealth of contact information for other necessities such as flowers, photography, music, ministers, invitations, hair and make-up artistry, even neckline designs to compliment your wedding attire. There is no obligation to use any preferred vendor. However, the information we send you is from trusted professionals who have worked with the Brook Forest Inn before.
The Dining Experience
The dining experience for your special event is very important. So only the finest cuisine is prepared in the Brook Forest Inn kitchen. From hors d’ouerves and main entrees to desserts, the menus that follow provide many options that tempt the palate. We offer great flexibility so if our buffet combinations aren’t exactly what you are looking for you can change, rearrange or otherwise create your own package (additional fee may apply) from any of our other menus offered at the Brook Forest Inn or your own personal menu choices. We can prepare your meal in a buffet, family or plated style of service. Buffet service offers more variety of food to your guests at attractive per person rates. Family service provides a home style feel to dinner while the plated service is much more labor intensive but offers greater elegance. Our kitchen professionals are also masters in dessert preparation and can prepare that special wedding cake or dessert to top off the meal.
The right mix of beverages compliments a very special day. Bartenders from the Brook Forest Inn are trained professionals in all facets of beverage service and are an integral part of your beverage service needs. Whether the event calls for an open or cash bar our pub serves beverages nightly from 4:00 pm to last call. For an additional fee additional bartender service stations can be set up in the reception room and in the private gardens area. These stations will be manned by our staff at all times to monitor alcohol consumption. Our Events Coordinator will guide you in deciding what beverages should be ordered, why you should consider a dollar and time limit on your open bar, how to estimate an open bar amount, finding specialty beverage items and details on how we track open bar items. We take our beverage service responsibilities seriously so beverage service professionals will ask anyone appearing to be under the age of 30 for their ID before they are served any alcoholic beverages.
Staff at the Brook Forest Inn will orchestrate the day’s events with elegance and style. We’ll manage all the details working with any designated individuals so you don’t have to. Your day should be hassle-free – that’s what we are here for.
Some important rules regarding special events:
The Brook Forest Inn does not allow any rice or live foliage of any kind inside the Inn; petals and leaves are allowed on tables as decoration as long as they don’t spill onto the flooring; silk foliage is allowed anytime; children must be supervised at all times; no candles are allowed in the guest rooms; candles are allowed as table decoration but must have some kind of base to catch the wax; smoking is allowed only in the front entry and back patio areas of the Inn at least 15 feet away from either door.
Due to our Tavern Liquor License and State law, all wine, beer, spirits and bartending services must be arranged and purchased through the Brook Forest Inn. You are not permitted to bring any alcoholic beverages onto our premises anywhere.
